Lucy Snow's 3-D design class had an assignment to create a “structure” that defined space and that directed how they could twist their bodies through it. Several groups worked on it in the public areas of the college, to the amusement and surprise of those passing by. I should make a yarn pun here, but it's too early in the semester for that.
Rebecca Talley challenged her Color Theory class to use the universal language of art to create posters for social justice. Students used their individual voices to speak to social change. You can see more of these works in the temporary installation just outside the Art department entrance on the first level of the college complex.
